London is a city evolving rapidly, considered a melting pot of different cultures and a place in which people can truly be themselves.
Whilst this is true, there are still issues surrounding class, race and discriminatory attitudes, both overt and subconscious which exist in our community.
Blending multiple visual techniques such as photography, drawing, layering, collaging and splicing, I aimed to increase awareness of islamophobia, institutional racism and under representation, whilst also maintaining a sense of beauty within the images to reflect the resilient and proud nature of the cultures in London despite the prevalent adversity.
