Reimagining a classic artist. Bringing Blake's poetry to a younger audience, through modern, visually captivating design.

William Blake, a renowned British poet and artist from the 18th century, uses simplistic form when writing poetry, so his work can be read and understood universally. Blake tackled various social and political issues during his time that still exist today, including class division, child labour, race, religion, youth in England and ideas of revolution.

In order to make it feel intrinsic to the current online visual climate young people currently engage with, this magazine layout illustrates a combination of original photography and archival imagery, to symbolically reflect each stanza of 'The Little Black Boy' poem. This magazine was designed digitally and later developed into a physical copy.
